No Go Potty!

Last night the boys and I were playing in the basement (me more trying to sort through all of their toys, trying to figure out what is baby toys and can get totted up and what they still play with and we need to find a home for (so that we can get ready to start working on their play room)), when I told Braylon that we needed to go potty, he bolted for Reese's kennel and held the door shut and said "Me, no go potty mommy!" Then he crawled to the back and hid under one of Reese's blankets! Such a goof ball!

Holding the door shut so I can't get him out!

Hiding under Reese's blanket!

Right before he surrendered! Porter thought it was pretty funny and had to join in on the fun!

At Nama's

Nama Pammy is always trying to con the boys into coming over for supper! We usually go over there on Monday nights because Ben works late and it is a good time for the boys to see Nama and Papa. Well this week we didn't go over there on Monday because Ben didn't work late, because I had to judge Monday night. So yesterday Nama Pammy emailed me 303 times asking if we were coming to eat supper, I told her probably not 302 times, and on the last time I figured oh what the heck! So we went to Nama's and Papa's to play and eat supper! (Daddy went to happy hour with Unlce Timmy and it ended up being Bock release Party at Kegal, so he stayed a little longer then expected, so it was just Mommy, the boys and Reese that went to Nama's last night).

We get to bring our toys on to the table and play! Along with getting our very own bottle of water to drink out of (not that uncommon for the boys, they prefer water bottles to sippy cups!)

Nama has a huge box of old trucks and tractors from when Unlce Kevin & Shawn were little that we love to play with!

We get to color!

The best part of all is changing the channel on Uncle Kevin (you can't see it but Porter has the remote and he walks around aimlessly pushing buttons)!

Won't even slow down to be sick!

Porter has been fighting what we thought was pink eye since Tuesday, we called in to the doctor and the nurse informed me that there is not much that they do for pink eye anymore. They don't prescribe medication unless it is bacterial and that it is very unlikely, but that if it didn't go away in a few days to bring him in. Well over the last couple of days his eye has gotten worse and worse, so much so that it is glued shut in the mornings when we get him up and under his eye is red and sore! So finally yesterday Ben and I decided that we should bring him in. I should also mention that Porter was not phased by his eye, he didn't itch it or touch it or got crabby about it at all. We got him into the doctor and she was amazed that he wasn't bothered by it, she then wanted to check his ears just to be sure that there was nothing going on there, and wouldn't you know it, Porter has a double ear infection (his tubes fell out about a month ago). He again wasn't even phased by the fact that his ears were infected! She thinks that is why he got an eye infection is due to him having such bad ear infections, she put him on a medication that will hopefully clear everything up. It looks like our little P may need to see an ENT if he continues to get them!
Porter must have a very high pain tolerance not to be affected by any of this! He didn't act sick at all, had plenty of energy to run around the Patient Table in the doctor's office!

Porter being nothing but a blur at the doctors yesterday!

30 things for a 30 month old!

Braylon turned 2 1/2 today (or 30 months old) so we decided to share some fun facts about him...

1) Braylon asks everyday when I pick him up from day-care if he can go see Nama. When I tell him no he says me see Maddi? (Grandma Joan's dog), I say Not today... Me see Baxter? (Grandma Joan's dog) I say Not today... Me see Rusty? (Grandma Pammy's dog) I say Nope you get to see Reese! Then he laughs and says me see Nama tomorrow... k?
2) Braylon's favorite movie is Cars and Cars Toons (staring Mater), usually when I get home from the gym at 6 he is laying by his door and if he hears me he says Mommy me watch Cars now... So I get him out of his room and he lays on the couch and watches Cars with a sippy of milk and some fruit snacks, while I shower and get ready!
3) Braylon is the best big brother, he loves his little brother very much and always gives him hugs and kisses for bedtime! He plays very well with Porter, he invites him to play and they laugh and laugh at each other!
4) Braylon loves to tackle daddy! They play tackle football all of the time in the house, so much so that Ben actually has carpet burns on his elbows from playing so much!
5) Braylon loves to eat snow! Every day when I pick them up from D's, Braylon walks to the car and I carry Porter, I make Bray stand on the sidewalk so that he doesn't get hit by a car and he always is sticking his mittens in the snow and eating it!
6) Braylon LOVES vegetables, I mean LOVES them! When he sees Brussels sprouts and broccoli he says "Mommy, me love Brussels sprouts, me love broccoli too!"
7) Braylon has a strange obsession with Bobcats - Skidsteers (they are known as bobcats or catbobs at our house). He sleeps with his bobcat every night. He knows exactly how many bobcats he has and if he can't find one we have to stop everything to find it!
8) Braylon is almost potty trained, he wears undies all day and then wears diapers at bedtime, he has about 1-2 accidents a week, but he does extremely well and has even started telling us when he has to go potty!
9) Braylon is a closet baby player, he goes to daycare with all girls (except Porter) and there are a lot of times that I go to get him and he is lugging around a baby doll.
10) When ever you ask Braylon what he wants for a meal it is always Ice cream!
11) Braylon remembers everything! He has an amazing memory, if you tell him something he will remember it!
12) He knows that daddy's name is Benjamin, but mommy is just mommy!
13) When he wants to be silly and get me to chase him around the house he comes to my leg and says Meat Sauce and then runs away screaming and laughing... most of the time with me running and laughing behind him!
14) Braylon is very good at telling me when Reese is getting into trouble, he tells me that Reese is in the garbage or Reese is eating Porter's snacks...
15) Braylon stills has his Nummers, and he thanks Daddy every day for that :)
16) Whenever Braylon goes poop on the potty he says "Me get sucker now" and then runs to the pantry to claim his reward for going!
17) Braylon LOVES to talk on the phone, if Nama Pammy calls she always has to talk to him. They talk for a bit and then he says goodbye. If you give him a fake phone he will call Papa and talk to him non stop for hours! He has the phone glued to his ear!
18) He loves his Grandparents VERY much and they all have special places in his heart. He knows exactly what he can get away with, with each of them.
19) He eats grapes by the truck load, at least once a week I have to go to the store to get him more grapes.
20) He is very good at throwing temper tantrums, screaming kicking and whining his way to what he wants!
21) He loves to draw and color, he carries a notepad and pencil around with him and stops to write something down or draw something. He has to give it to me when he is all done, so Porter no get it.
22) When you tell him it is time to go potty, he has to grab as many toys to bring with him in the bathroom, I think sometimes he thinks he is never going to get out!
23) He has a strange obsession with his feet (piggies as we call them). He loves to take his socks off wiggle his stinky piggies at us!
24) He is a fish, he could stay in the water all day (bathwater, lake water, swimming pool, hot tub, you name it and can swim in it he is in it). When I start draining the water from the bathtub he tells me Porter out first and then he lays down and lays there until there is no water left in the bathtub and then says "Me cold Mommy, cover up". You can't take him out before then because then you get a temper tantrum and well it just isn't worth it!
25) He is a snacker, he eats his meals very well, but the second he is done he says "Me have snack"
26) Braylon loves to read books, before bed we read several books and he always says me get another book and Ben and I always say this is the last one... We usually have 3 last one's a night :) He even has books that he knows the words to.
27) He sleeps with a lamp and radio on, then before Ben and I go to sleep we turn them off.
28) He is a very polite little boy, always says please, thank you, excuse me. Uses his manors very well!
29) He loves to tell people that they are silly! If Ben does something that is silly or funny he says "Silly Daddy!" or "Silly Porter"
30) He gives the best hugs (we call them bear hugs) and he always says I love you! You don't even have to say it first, he comes and gives hugs and kisses and then looks at you and says I love you! It is adorable and makes me smile from ear to ear every time! (The best part is he even does it to Porter).

2 1/2 years old :(

Braylon is growing up, more and more each day! He amazes us everyday by the things he knows and learns. He is a busy bee, doesn't like to sit still for more than a very short while... Even when he is watching movies he starts by sitting on the couch then is sitting on the arm rest, then is laying on the back of the couch, then rolls off and stands on the couch, never just still...

Braylon being a firefighter

Going down the roller coaster

Bringing the ride back to the roller coaster so that Porter can have a turn

Had to get his daily workout in, it isn't easy to stay in that good of shape!

Cooking a "healthy" lunch after that intense round of cardio!

Then off to the races with P!

Making Pretty Cards!

We decided that we would paint while we waiting for Daddy to get home from work! This might be a great way to distract the boys long enough for me to start supper :) These paint pens are life savers, no need to worry about dipping paint brushes in paint, they are just like a pen but are paint! The boys had a blast, Braylon kept telling me that he was drawing basketballs (which ended up just being a bunch of circles)...

Braylon drawing his Green basketballs now! I wrote his name on his paper and he said to me "Me color it in mommy!"...

Porter started off with three paints at the same time! He decided this was the most effective way to get the most paint on the paper in the least amount of time! We can't sit still too long!

Bray concentrating very hard, it has to be perfect you know ;)

P trying to decide if he likes that color or not! (P.s. Porter is a drooling fool these days, it comes and goes in streaks, some days there is none, some days we go through 7 shirts!)

Super Bowl Sunday!

Ben, Braylon, Porter and myself went over to the Nordby's on Sunday to watch the Superbowl (I think the only ones that watched it were the dad's). The kids had so much fun playing together, we will definitely have to do it more often :)

Brody and Braylon playing in the bouncy house! (We might have to invest in one of these)

Porter and Brenley were crawling toward one another, very adorable, then Porter got a little side tracked!

You would never guess that this little girl gets her picture taken a lot, she just sat and smiled so nicely for me!

Brenley and Porter playing in the bouncy house...

While the big boys cooked noodles and juice (Brody special)!

Thank you so much Nordby's we had so much fun and can't wait to do it again!

Drawing!

Yesterday when I went to pick Bray up from Day-care he was carrying around a mini notepad and a pencil and every couple of steps he would stop to "write" something down! So when I told him that he had to give it to D so that he could use it tomorrow, he said "but me want one!", so off to the store we went to get him his very own Notepad and pencil. We ended up getting more arts and crafts for at home, the boys love arts and crafts time! Braylon was so thrilled that he got his own he had to have it in the car!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Ben's birthday was on Tuesday, we are having a week long celebration for the now 25 year old :)

Tuesday started off with Ben getting his presents from the boys!

I wanted to give Ben a little girl for his birthday, but since we have a wedding coming up in October we will have to wait until next year! So instead Porter dressed up like a girl for Daddy's Birthday present :)

We went out to eat with Grams and Papa Rick for Ben's Birthday Tuesday night and the boys had lots of fun! We didn't get any pictures too busy chasing :) Ben got the rest of his presents from the boys and I, before we left to go eat! Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you :)

What in the world are those?!?!?!

Today the boys are going outside to play in the snow at D's! So instead of putting their shoes and then hauling their snow boots to D's, we just decided to put their snow boots on their feet. Porter carried his shoes to me this morning, like he does most mornings and when he saw what I put on his feet, this is the face he gave me! (It was followed by a funny scrunched up nose and little giggle).

Look at how big his eyes are!
